Six foreign troops were killed in Taliban bombs or fighting the rebels in the past two days, NATO said, taking to 622 the number of international soldiers killed this year as the rebellion intensifies.
The toll last year was 521.

NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said three soldiers were killed on Friday and three on Thursday, in insurgent attacks and by roadside bombs....
The nationalities of the soldiers were not revealed, according to policy.
ISAF said that two of the Friday deaths were the result of attacks in the south, where the insurgency is concentrated. The other soldier died in eastern Afghanistan in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack.
