Dearest brother and sister

Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah and Ramadan Mubarak!!!!!!!

The most blessed month of Ramadan is upon us again. In this month Allah - the Most Gracious and Merciful, out of His endless Mercy, has given us an opportunity to draw near to Allah, to increase our morality and spirituality, and to gain His abundant reward. Allah
has given us the unique opportunity to increase acts of compassion, benevolence, charity, and kindness during this month of Barakah as best as we can so that these become our second nature.

On this occasion, I remind myself and you the Verse 63 of Surah Al-Munafiqun and Our beloved Prophet's (Sallallahu `Alaihi Wasaalam's practice in of Ramadan, the month of Mercy, Forgiveness and Emancipation from hell-fire. Following is  the translation of the meaning of the Verse:

"And spend something (in charity) out of the sustenance that We have bestowed on you, before death should come to any of you and he should say, "My Lord! Why did You not give me relief for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of those who do good (deeds). [63:10]

Narrated (Ibn Abbas RA): Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasaalam) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in the month of Ramadan when (angel) Jibril met him. .... Allah's Messenger was the most generous person, even more generous than the fair winds (sent by Allah) with glad tidings (rain) in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds.   (Sahih Al-Bukhari, 1:5)

Given the paramount significance of the above mentioned Verse of Al-Qur'an (63:10) and a Hadith from Bukhari (1:5), may I take this opportunity to appeal to your good self to please come forward to help purchase a 5 acre property (20800 m2) with an existing house in order to build a Masjid in 13-17 Eagleview Road, Minto, Sydney, Australia. Alhamdu Lillah, the Australian Muslim Welfare Centre (AMWC) was able to deposit 10% of the total price ($735,000+stamp duty) of the property with the help of the local Muslim community and the balance to be paid by November 2010. However, failure to pay the entire balance ($661500) in 3 months will cause AMWC to forfeit the deposited amount ($73500).  Insha Allah, that will NOT happen if we become more generous by donating for this very genuine and most rewarding cause for the sake of Allah, especially in the month of abundant blessings of Ramadan.

Here are the AMWC Bank Account details (also in the attached brochure) for your convenience to contribute:

Commonwealth Bank of Australia

BSB: 062185, Account no: 10482582

I supplicate to Allah - the Most Gracious and Merciful to accept our fasting, prayer, charity and all other righteous deeds (amal salih) in this blessed month of Ramadan.

Brotherly yours
