I have written about the importance of establishing an Islamic state and the importance of Pakistan as a part of prophesied army from Khurasan. At this point in time however, there appears very little that GrandeStrategy can do to help such a state come into being. We have developed an alternative model for how such a state could be organized. But the state has to first exist for any of this to be remotely relevant. If brother Imran Hossain is right, and we are in fact at a point where Greater Israel remains to be established, then there probably is some history still left to be played before the Black Flags are raised. And Allah knows best.
At this point, I am unable to think of a way that I could remotely help create an Islamic state, beyond what I have written in the 21st Century Islamic State. My personal focus will now shift to what positive contribution I can make that would be effective - social activism and dawah. This is also congruent with what one of our prominent leaders, Hamza Yusuf Hanson has called for - a 20 year moratorium on political activism and a shift in focus to social activism. Certainly, the smaller things rather than the big macro issue at hand that, from a personal level, I am so much more interested in. But what I am interested in is not necessarily what the Islamic ummah (community) needs of me, nor is it effective at this point. Yet we must continue to stay alert to these great issues and be ready as events unfold.
We must not despair, nor must we lose hope. As Allah tells us in the Quran:
And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters.
( سورة الأنفال , Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #30)
Allah is the best of planners. The perpetual entrepreneurial spirit that I have, I am bound to attempt to somehow worry about their plots and plans, and even attempt to come up with a plan of my own, but since in these great issues I have no real means to execute a plan beyond GrandeStrategy, and after all, Allah is the best of planners. And since Allah is the best of planners and surely for such great evil God surely has a plan, we must not despair and excessively worry about their plans. Let us put our heads down and do good deeds in the world and yet remain prepared - alert, vigilant and well resourced - so that when the Black Banners do appear, and/or an islamic state is created, we are able to migrate and reinforce such an effort effectively.
Our enemies believe that Greater Israel needs to be established for their Jewish Messiah (and who we believe to be the Anti-Christ) to come. They have marked out this Greater Israel to range from the Euphrates to the Nile. Maulana Imran Hossain believes that power still has to move from Washington DC to Tel Aviv/Jerusalem, as it did from London to Washington. A great war may be upon us soon to create this state. We cannot be passive actors, we must be active actors if we can.
If we cannot be active actors because of worldly circumstances, then there is no reason to despair. Muslims do not despair, for no one can defeat Allah. Despair is a trait of those whose faith is weak.
If you join the US army, you do not remain part of our body politic and as such some believe that you cannot even be considered to be Muslim. And Allah knows best. If you do so and then you develop a sudden pang of conscience, please do not go and do some random act of violence that is inconsistent with Shariah law. We do not need non-practicing Muslims who have not studied Islam to represent us in such a heinous fashion in sudden pangs of the conscience. We do not need these acts of despair, Muslims do not despair for no one - not even the United States - can defeat God.
There is no vigilantism in Islam. We cannot take the law into our own hands. Shariah law forbids us from disobeying the laws of a foreign state, whether Muslim or Kuffar, when we live there. We must obey every law, we must not even jay walk, if possible. We must honor our contracts, personal, social and political. We must honor the implicit and the explicit contracts. For those Muslims living in the West, whether converts, citizens or immigrants, we have an implicit contract in living in their states.
There can be no innovation in our religion. What Qutb and Osama call for is innovation in our religious beliefs. These are wrong. Suicide is not allowed in Islam. Those that commit suicide are said to go to Hell. Please do not send yourself to Hell, as one human being to another. They rationalize by saying that some of the Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them, companions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) rushed at a body of armed and armored enemy soldiers, without armor and with only a sword. Yes, they knew it would be certain death. Yes, they did it for Allah. But no, that is not the same as a suicide bomber. For the simple reason that the enemy still had to strike them and kill them. While in this case YOU will be pressing the button. I am certain that you will not get the enemy to press that button for you. See the clear difference between the two acts. God has given you reason, use it. Islam is not a religion of blind belief, Islam combines belief, reason and evidence. Pray to Allah, that He may guide you. Our enemies have programs to cultivate the fools amongst us that would do such crimes and then use these acts to paint all of us in.
These tactics are not only against Islam, they also have no equivalent to how Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or any of the other Prophets including Jesus (peace be upon him), Moses (peace be upon him), Ibrahim (peace be upon him), Noah (peace be upon him) or any other of the Prophets (peace be upon them) fought. We were persecuted and tortured in Mekkah. We did not randomly start attacking people there. Noah (peace be upon him) got on a boat and left, he did not start a terrorist camp in the woods. Have you ever heard of Allah asking a prophet to place a bomb in a market place?
There are no short cuts to going to heaven by doing some random act of violence and vigilantism. Just being a Muslim does not ensure you will go to heaven. Look again at the five pillars of Islam. Look again at doing charity. Look again. For many of you, who have left practicing Islam, look for the first time. You non-practicing "Muslims" are the biggest danger to us in terms of creating terrorists for you lack the faith, the knowledge, the love that practicing Muslims have. Practicing Muslims do not go to strip clubs, they do not drink, they do not join the US army.
There is legitimate jihad, as is the resistance fighters in Iraq and Afghanistan. We need jihad to fight oppression. It is vital. And to really make it effective, we need conventional military might, achievable if we have an Islamic state, particularly if that state includes Pakistan. If tomorrow Pakistan becomes an Islamic state, I will migrate there and join them. I would ask you to do the same. I have spoken of this over the last 3 years, virtually to deaf ears. Do you not see how clearly important establishing an Islamic state is? In my books, if you do not see this, you are either hypocrites or stupid. If tomorrow your conscience hurts, please don't knock on my door, and please do not blow yourself up when it dawns upon you how foolish you have been.
I shall bear witness against all of you Muslims of today, that you have been utterly foolish and blind. Please feel free to go watch tv, browse the web, hang out on Facebook, watch movies or do any of the other petty things you concern yourselves with. Your brothers and sisters in Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and many more places are suffering because YOU continue to live your petty useless lives. You are just another brick in the wall. Just another tax payer whose taxes get used to murder Muslims. This is not what you were born to be, this was your choice. Be sure that you are willing to live with the consequences of that choice.
And Allah Knows Best.
And with that I end my political activism, for a time. I think my time is far better spent on social activism and dawah. May Allah forgive me if I said anything that was wrong due to my intellectual shortcomings. Please forgive me if I sound harsh, but I'd rather you curse me and are awake at this time than pleasant but asleep.
PS: Yes, it is wrong for us to live in the United States, given how centrally this country is murdering, torturing and occupying Muslims/Muslim states. Unless we live here for dawah or specific purposes. If we don't like it, we should leave. But for many of us, there appears no place to leave. Our home countries are occupied by their thugs, we can't peacefully live there. There almost appears no place where people like myself can migrate to. I have contemplated asking for asylum to Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia or Sweden. I have also been researching to see if sections of Antarctica may have thawed enough to be habitable. If you know of a place that is not corrupt, not ruled by tyrants, not involved in murdering Muslims worldwide and would be willing to take in an educated, smart and hard working Muslim, you know who to contact.
